The lowest rate is a subsidized rate; it covers our costs. The highest rate is a supporting rate; it helps to subsidize the lowest rate in order to make the event sustainable overall. Any rate you choose in between the extremes is a sustaining rate; this makes the event viable.
We encourage you to choose the rate that you can and wish to afford.
